Director of Clinical Services

Our client is seeking a compassionate, experienced Director of Clinical Services to lead the clinical care team and ensure the delivery of exceptional patient-centered care across various settings. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare leader to make a significant impact while working in an innovative, team-based environment. The Director of Clinical Services will play a key role in developing policies, managing staff, and overseeing clinical care in a manner that promotes patient satisfaction and outstanding clinical outcomes.

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Population: Geriatrics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Integrate organizational values, mission, and vision into the program culture, policies, and day-to-day operations.

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care 24/7 across all settings.

  • Monitor patient experience and outcome data, guiding the team to ensure the provision of high-quality services.

  • Collaborate with HR and management on staff recruitment, training, and performance oversight.

  • Ensure timely and accurate patient assessments and care plans developed by the team.

  • Develop and manage an effective 24/7 on-call process in coordination with the Medical Director.

  • Collaborate with leadership to maintain the delivery of efficient, high-quality services.

  • Ensure clinical staff actively participate in team meetings and patient care planning.

  • Develop and monitor budgets, KPIs, and financial reports to ensure efficient use of resources.

  • Participate in Quality Improvement programs, track data, and lead improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure clinical compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and update job descriptions, aligning them with staff competencies.

  • Create policies in line with industry standards and collaborate with leadership on continuous improvements.

  • Engage with healthcare associations and committees to stay updated on regulations and best practices.

  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Operations Director, and management to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Participate in family and staff meetings, in-service training, and other departmental activities.

  • Adhere to all organizational policies and safety guidelines while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Lead infection control efforts to ensure best practices in all settings.

  • Attend continuing education and training as required.

  • Maintain required certifications and professional affiliations.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • State RN license with leadership experience in healthcare delivery and management.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. A Master’s degree in management or a healthcare-related field is preferred.

  • Professional certifications are a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with the frail and elderly in acute, long-term care, or community based settings.

  • At least 3 years of progressive management experience.

  • Experience in home care, managed care, or long-term care is preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise in elder care services, particularly in home-based and interdisciplinary team models.

  • Strong understanding of managed care, chronic disease management, and healthcare program trends.

  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, service-focused culture.

  • Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and building strong team dynamics.

  • Ability to handle complex patient needs and scenarios with adaptability and creativity.

  • Proficiency in guiding staff through challenging situations while promoting patient-centered care.

  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.

  • Experience with management information systems and electronic health records (EHR).

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong decision-making abilities with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee 2-3 sites

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in EMR systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and general office equipment.

  • Strong computer literacy and ability to correspond effectively in writing.
