Role Summary:
The Director of Clinical Services is a visionary healthcare leader responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered clinical care 24/7 across multiple care settings. This role champions excellence in elder care by aligning clinical services with best practices, regulatory standards, and a mission-driven approach to care. Duties:

  • Promote the organization’s mission, vision, and values in all clinical programs, operations, and team culture.

  • Oversee the delivery of 24/7 patient-centered clinical services, ensuring high standards of care across all environments.

  • Monitor patient outcomes and guide the team in delivering exceptional clinical care.

  • Collaborate with HR and management to recruit, train, and evaluate clinical staff.

  • Ensure timely and accurate patient assessments and individualized care plans.

  • Develop and manage a 24/7 on-call system in collaboration with the Medical Director.

  • Work with leadership to maintain operational efficiency and service excellence.

  • Ensure clinical team engagement in collaborative care planning and team meetings.

  • Develop and manage nursing services budgets, KPIs, and resource utilization reports.

  • Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, tracking and analyzing clinical data.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal healthcare regulations.

  • Create and review clinical policies and procedures annually, ensuring alignment with standards.

  • Represent the organization in healthcare associations and regulatory committees.

  • Collaborate with Medical Director, Operations Director, and leadership teams to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

  • Participate in patient/family meetings, staff development, and organizational activities.

  • Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols in all care settings.

  • Attend ongoing training and maintain all professional certifications.

  • Designate a qualified registered nurse to act in your absence.

  • In certain states, ensure compliance with state-specific nursing practice acts and documentation standards.

  • Perform additional leadership duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with elderly or frail populations in acute, long-term, or community-based care.

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Strong background in patient-centered care, chronic disease management, and elder care best practices.

  • Demonstrated expertise in staff leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and clinical education.

  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.

  • Knowledge of clinical budgeting, KPIs, and financial resource management.

  • Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to analyze and apply clinical quality improvement data.

  • Willingness to lead with empathy, creativity, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.

  • Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings including background check, drug test, and health clearance.

  • Medically cleared for communicable diseases with up-to-date immunizations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing Leadership, or a related field.

  • Professional certification in a nursing or healthcare leadership specialty.

  • Experience in home care, managed care, or long-term care settings.

  • 1 year of experience working directly with elderly or frail populations (preferred; training provided if not present).

  • Familiarity with innovative, patient-centered models of care.
