Base pay range $170,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr Position Overview The Director of Clinical Pharmacy Operations will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to a remote team of clinical pharmacists delivering comprehensive medication management (CMM) services. This role is accountable for maintaining day-to-day delivery of the CMM program while driving engagement, retention, and clinical outcomes aligned to organizational goals. The Director will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services, while optimizing workflows, tracking performance, and contributing to total cost of care reduction. In addition to leading pharmacist operations, this role will play a key part in the development and enablement of scalable clinical programs—helping to shape workflows, training, quality processes, and infrastructure to support future growth, including expansion into Medicare, HEDIS, and broader clinical disciplines. This individual will be a collaborative leader with strong clinical, operational, and strategic capabilities, and will serve as a critical partner in supporting an exceptional experience for individuals across their health journey. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and daily operational oversight to a remote team of Clinical Pharmacists delivering Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) services Ensure effective execution of pharmacist-led services, including medication optimization strategies that prioritize safety, efficacy, and affordability Monitor team performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support clinical outcomes, reduce healthcare utilization, and lower total cost of care Lead process improvement initiatives across workflows, documentation, and systems to support scalable, high-quality service delivery Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a coordinated member experience and aligned program execution Support the development of scalable clinical workflows, protocols, training materials, and quality assurance processes in partnership with internal stakeholders Contribute to infrastructure design and operational readiness for future clinical expansion, including Medicare, HEDIS gap closure, Star rating improvement, and value-based care models Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities Develop and maintain clinical and operational policies and procedures Analyze performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement and standardization Serve as a preceptor for Pharmacy Residents and College of Pharmacy students, as applicable Obtain and maintain appropriate state licensure Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational goals Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Clinical Pharmacist and/or providing Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) services 3–5 years of experience leading clinical or healthcare operations (call center or remote team setting preferred) At least 3 years in a leadership or people management role preferably within a clinical pharmacy or healthcare environment 3 + years of experience managing remote or geographically distributed teams Working knowledge of best practices in medication therapy management and healthcare operations Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on clinical and performance data Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment Comfortable with ambiguity, leading change, and complex problem solving Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in Ambulatory Care Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) Experience with HEDIS measures, Star ratings, and strategies to close clinical care gaps Background in case management or care coordination, particularly in clinical or managed care settings Seniority level Seniority levelDirector Employment type Employment typeFull-time Job function Job functionManagement IndustriesWellness and Fitness Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Confidential Healthcare by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Tuition assistance Get notified about new Director of Pharmacy Operations jobs in Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area .
