Overview Trinity in Washington, a comprehensive Catholic university in the nation’s capital, seeks a Director of Campus Ministry to plan and implement programs to support the faith life and spiritual development of students, faculty and staff in this religiously diverse community.

Responsibilities Plan and implement programs for faith education, prayer and worship, including Catholic liturgies and services; ecumenical and interfaith services. Coordinate Masses and other services on campus with local priests and coordinate Gospel Choir engagement with a local director and musicians. Organize and lead community service programs in the Washington community that manifest Trinity’s historic commitment to social justice. Develop opportunities for faith education, prayer and worship with students, faculty and staff of diverse faith expressions; lead programs of prayer and worship, retreats, service experiences; educational and administrative tasks. Foster community connections for service-learning opportunities in cooperation with faculty and possibly linked to courses and curricula. Manage two chapels on campus, including coordinating sacristans and managing events. Build a Catholic ministry program that serves the many faiths present among students, faculty and staff. Qualifications Catholic; able to build a ministry program serving diverse faiths. Master’s degree in ministry or a related field. At least five years of progressively responsible experience in ministry on a college campus or comparable setting. Experience leading programs of prayer and worship, retreats, service-learning opportunities, and related educational/administrative tasks. Knowledge of Catholic liturgical rules and ability to plan Catholic liturgies. Ability to foster broad community connections for service-learning opportunities, including cooperation with faculty on linked curricula. Experience coordinating duties of sacristans and managing events in chapels. Sisters of Notre Dame with the requisite credentials are encouraged to apply.
