Position Overview Strategic Resilience Group, LLC seeks a Director of Business Development to support corporate growth strategies. The role involves interfacing with Department of Defense customers, Fourth Estate, and state and local entities to identify operational requirements and create solutions. The candidate will lead Business Development efforts, work with all company levels, and ensure market growth.
Location Remote work with occasional in-person attendance at SRG’s Stafford, VA office.
Responsibilities
Execute strategic growth plans collaboratively.
Translate customer needs into requirements and tailor services accordingly.
Identify, create, and validate program opportunities.
Assess opportunities within and beyond existing markets.
Develop and maintain customer and partner relationships.
Manage communications channels for market information dissemination.
Manage strategic partnerships with teaming partners.
Conduct market research and develop business cases.
Recommend and implement strategic objectives and plans.
Maintain knowledge of DoD agencies, military departments, and related entities.
Develop and oversee capture plans and Business Development processes.
Engage with potential government customers and develop market entry strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years or Master’s degree with 8+ years related experience.
Knowledge of DoD requirements, budgets, and acquisition processes.
Experience with civilian agencies like the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Experience working with senior military and civilian leaders.
Excellent communication, organization, and relationship skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
Effective stakeholder communication skills.
Track record of delivering new business growth.
Experience with USG international sales and customers.
Ability to develop innovative solutions across DOTMLPF spectrum.
Ability to build trust with executive customers and leaders.
