Overview The Director of Business Development identifies new business opportunities, plans and manages capture of opportunities, maintains fruitful relationships with existing customers, assists in development of company strategic plans, and markets company services to achieve revenue targets developed by the COO. This will be accomplished by actively engaging existing and seeking out new customers that lead to the financial growth of the company. The Director of Business Development will manage the proposal team and coordinate with job cost to respond to competitive and sole source procurements, manage content, and meet intermediate and final proposal deadlines. This position reports to the COO for review, course correction, and action on the most promising opportunities.

Responsibilities Conducts the research and analysis of business opportunities. Locate, explore, and evaluate potential federal business opportunities. Analyze competitors to enhance our success rate. Interface with groups and company leads to determine applicable federal market areas and scopes of services. Lead successful development and execution of win strategies. Prepare and lead Go/No-Go reviews. Create and implement capture plans as required. Attend RFP debriefing interviews and communicate feedback on win/loss with team members. Pursue sole source awards. Initiate and develop strategic partnerships with large and small businesses. Engage industry contacts for direct award opportunities offered to the company. Create connections between subject matter experts in specific industries and federal customers Gana-A'Yoo is eligible to serve. Develop and foster positive client relationships. Manage Gana-A'Yoo proposal efforts and coordinate with proposal teams to ensure proper hand-off and follow-through. Collaborate with consultant technical writers to produce timely and complete proposals. Utilize data provided by the BD Department in pursuit of specific strategies. Research expiring 8(a) and HUBZone contract databases for relevant leads; exploit expiring 8(a) and HUBZone contracts for potential direct awards or partnerships. Position the Gana-A'Yoo Family of 8(a) firms for direct award opportunities. Work independently and with PMs, GMs and VPs regarding valuable relationships and opportunities. Perform incidental tasks to support team objectives while maintaining a positive attitude. Requirements Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience in business development required. Bachelor's Degree from a four-year university is required. Successful track record developing business in existing and new government markets (IT, Construction, O&M, Janitorial, Manufacturing, Logistics). Demonstrated federal market knowledge, including clients, prime and subcontractors, and geography. Demonstrated success targeting and winning service contracts, IDIQs, MATOCs, Sole Source, etc. Demonstrated success in building a pipeline of opportunities. Capable of developing and delivering effective sales presentations and marketing material. Experience in fast-paced, technically focused environments. Small Business Administration 8(a) competitive and sole source experience, preferably with an Alaska Native Regional Corporation, Alaska Native Village Corporation or tribal entity. Must have contacts within the government contracting industry and other large businesses in relevant sectors. Ability to travel when necessary.
