About the Role:
We're looking for a Director of BDR to build and lead our Business Development team from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to craft their own function—building process, hiring talent, selecting tools, and owning pipeline generation. You'll be foundational to our go-to-market strategy, working closely with Sales and Marketing to drive scalable and predictable revenue growth.
What You'll Do:
Build the BDR Team from Scratch: Hire, onboard, and retain top-tier BDR talent. Create a performance-driven culture that reflects our values and goals Own the BDR Strategy: Design and implement scalable outbound and inbound prospecting processes. Define key metrics, workflows, cadences, and playbooks Coach and Develop Talent: Deliver ongoing training and coaching to help BDRs grow into world-class contributors (and future AEs or team leads) Set and Manage Targets: Establish individual and team KPIs and goals, and hold the team accountable through clear reporting and regular performance reviews Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to align on ICP, messaging, campaign strategy, and lead handoff processes Select and Manage Tech Stack: Identify and implement the right tools (e.g., CRM, sequencing, enrichment) to drive efficiency, visibility, and results Be Hands-On: This is not just a leadership role—you should be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, prospecting alongside your team, refining messaging, and jumping in wherever needed
What We're Looking For:
3-5 years of experience in sales development, including at least 2 years in a BDR/SDR leadership role Proven success building and scaling BDR or SDR teams in early-stage, fast-paced startup environments Experience hiring, coaching, and developing top talent Strong track record of driving pipeline growth and exceeding performance targets Deep understanding of BDR metrics and best practices Familiarity with modern sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach/Sequences, ZoomInfo, Gong, etc.) Highly analytical and process-oriented with excellent communication skills Comfortable owning and iterating on strategy in a fast-changing environment Passion for creating something new and making a lasting impact
Nice to Have:
Experience transitioning BDRs into closing roles or creating internal career paths Knowledge of ABM or hybrid GTM motions Background in SaaS, particularly B2B software or similar industries.
