Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (subject to change based on project assignments/deadlines)

Job Summary
The Director of Asset Management is responsible for the success of our investor relationships and Asset Management team in achieving the objectives of the Asset Management department. In this role, you’ll oversee investor relationships, investor communications, and help foster new growth opportunities within those relationships. You will also be directly responsible for the professional development, mentorship, and performance management of the Manager-level subordinate, ensuring they grow in leadership capability and technical skill to support the team’s long-term success. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in team development and leadership, project management, and account management. In addition, the candidate will have deep knowledge and experience in self-storage operations, revenue management, marketing, accounting, and CapEx projects. This position also requires a strong understanding of various technologies related to analytics, data science, e-commerce, AI, database development, and cross-application integration.
Lead the in-house Asset Management team to provide exceptional investor experience through meaningful relationships, insights, and results.
Develop and continuously iterate a platform through technology, processes and people in order to provide best-in-class investor service and experience.
Regularly meet in person with key investors
Regularly meet with department heads to ensure clear lines of communications and that all departments are aligned in their goals, expectations, and timelines as it relates to providing a best-in-class investor experience.
Work closely with the budgeting team to plan and manage property and portfolio budgets.
Responsible for the regular reporting of results and updates to investors
Develop and implement a multimedia quarterly update and reporting of general market trends and events and present WPI’s opinions, updates, and forecasts.
Work with the CEO, COO, CFO, CMO and other senior level management within the organization.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
High School Diploma is required
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years of senior client relationship or customer service experience within a business-to-business environment
Extensive management experience in a customer service environment, developing and leading teams
Background in investment real estate (Self-storage experience a plus) [JL1]

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Ability to manage and motivate a team of individuals
Proactive, self-starter, goal oriented and ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work flexible hours depending on various departmental project deadlines and/or Company events and sponsored programs (including a few late evenings and weekend events per year)
General office and telephone skills are required
