Facility Oversight: Lead the day-to-day operations of Rolfs Aquatic Center and aquatic therapy tubs, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant environment that meets University, local, and state standards.
Water Quality & Safety: Coordinate with Aquatics Technicians on chemical treatments, daily water testing, maintenance, and compliance with all health department regulations.
Event Leadership: Serve as Meet Director for Notre Dame’s home Swimming and Diving competitions and other aquatic events (club sports, rentals, etc.), managing everything from timing systems and technology to visiting team coordination and event-day logistics.
Collaboration: Partner with varsity coaches, athletic trainers, facilities staff, and campus partners to meet all practice, competition, and maintenance needs.
Staff Management: Supervise a dedicated aquatics team—currently including two full-time technicians, a part-time desk attendant, plus lifeguards and student workers. Lead hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluations.
Administrative Excellence: Oversee budgeting, purchasing, work orders, and capital improvement planning while ensuring compliance with all policies and risk management procedures.
Customer Experience: Enhance the experience for student-athletes, coaches, and community members by fostering open communication, responsive service, and smooth event operations.
Special Projects: Assist with facility preparation and management during home swimming and diving meets, and support other Athletics initiatives as needed.
