JOB DUTIES may include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set forth by Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center’s policies and procedures, applicable Federal and State laws, and applicable professional standards. Must be able to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Conducts admission screenings of potential residents, determining level of care, services required, equipment needs, insurance coverage and payer source
• Maintain updated bed availability and facility services information
• Processes and ensures appropriate admission paperwork is obtained from residents or responsible parties prior to admission
• Works closely with nursing & business office staff, in-house admissions coordinator, residents and family members to coordinate new resident admissions
• Complete Level 1 Pre-admission Pasaar Screening
• Conducts facility tours as necessary
• Maintains a working knowledge of industry trends and legislative/regulatory issues,  insurer reimbursements and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements
• Monitor and respond to all referrals timely
• Develops personal yearly goals for growth within the department
• Participates in the sales and marketing process, as necessary, by working with local community agencies to maintain a positive facility image and ongoing referral sources
• Assists in the development of marketing materials and  participates in community events and presentations to promote the facility to residents, families, referral sources and medical professionals
• Purchase marketing supplies as needed
• Responsible for maintaining monthly marketing budget and reports
• Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards
• Performs other duties as directed
• Local travel required using personal vehicle
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare admissions role and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working in a long-term care setting is preferred
• Must maintain a valid drivers’ license in the applicable state
