Job Details
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting to lead our core accounting operations and drive financial accuracy and compliance across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, managing the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams, and ensuring adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls. The Director will also lead cash management activities and play a key role in audit preparation and SEC filings.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the monthly close process for all balance sheet and expense accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Maintain and enforce documentation and review procedures in alignment with SOX compliance standards. Supervise and develop the Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Oversee cash management functions, including bank account administration, liquidity optimization, and timely funding of business operations.
-Collaborate with external auditors and prepare quarterly workpapers to support audit and SEC filing requirements. Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong track record in financial reporting, team leadership, and cash management. Deep understanding of month-end close processes and internal controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Workday preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
