What Our Client is Looking For Our client is a private-equity-backed leader in its field, seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Accounting to oversee accounting operations during a period of rapid growth. Since 2019, the company has expanded aggressively through acquisitions and organic growth, now operating across multiple states nationwide. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong technical accounting expertise, a "fixer" mindset, and the ability to streamline processes while fostering a collaborative culture.

What You'll Be Doing Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including reconciliations, GL oversight, and financial reporting. Serve as the technical accounting go-to for complex matters. Manage and mentor a team of 3-4 direct reports, including an Accounting Manager, AP Manager, and Senior Accountants. Drive process improvements, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Partner with leadership to support integration of acquisitions and ongoing organic growth.
