Key Responsibilities: Oversee all core accounting functions, including general ledger, billing, receivables, payables, fixed assets, and trust accounting Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and process efficiency across the accounting function Manage cash flow, banking relationships, payroll, and tax filings Lead preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors Maintain and enhance accounting systems and procedural documentation Partner closely with firm leadership on financial strategy and analysis Contribute to the development of internal policies and accounting best practices Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior leadership required CPA or MBA preferred Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting Professional services or law firm experience required Familiarity with Aderant software a plus Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex financial scenarios Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; high integrity a must
