Director of Accounting — Lead firm‑wide finance strategy from our South Florida (Cypress Creek) office Our client is a nationally ranked, full‑service law firm with 20‑plus offices coast‑to‑coast. What You’ll Do

Set the framework  — Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Run the engine  — Oversee all accounting operations (AP, AR, billing, trust accounting, collections, banking, client relations).
Support the team  — Resolve escalated issues and provide day‑to‑day guidance to accounting staff.
Keep accounts clean  — Ensure timely bank reconciliations for operating and trust accounts; monitor unapplied cash, trust balances, and unbilled WIP.
Reconcile & report  — Tie out key GL accounts, maintain a robust chart of accounts, and issue accurate monthly, quarterly, and year‑to‑date financial statements.
Deliver insights  — Generate financial metrics and analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Own compliance  — Coordinate quarterly reviews/audits, manage regulatory filings, and ensure on‑time federal, state, and local reporting.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership, including department‑level oversight.
CPA or CMA preferred.
Proven track record designing internal controls, leading audits, and translating complex data into actionable insight.
