Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting, Non-Profits to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial procedures, budgeting, financial reporting and client relationships.
Responsibilities:  Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Develop and implement financial policies and procedures Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations Manage treasury functions including cash flow management and investment strategies Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor financial performance against budget Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management Supervise accounting staff and provide leadership in day-to-day operations for non-profit accounting staff Manage non-profit audits and related requests Manage non-profit contracts with agencies (i.e. social service work)
Experience:  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles Strong knowledge of fiscal management, corporate finance, and public accounting principles Experience with treasury management and strategic planning Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite Experience with Social service agencies (Medi-Cal billing, Behavioral Wellness work, Family service counseling, case management, etc.)
