Director, Nuclear Medicine Technology

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing healthcare organization to identify a highly experienced and certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) to serve as the founding leader of a new PET/CT and radiotherapeutics program.
This is a rare opportunity to shape and build a program from the ground up, combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership in a pivotal role.
Role Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of PET/CT scanner operations — startup/shutdown, calibration, quality control, and documentation.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals across both diagnostic imaging (PET/CT) and therapeutic applications (e.g., Iodine, Yttrium, Lutetium, Actinium).
- Establish and oversee protocols, workflows, and compliance procedures in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine .
- Train, mentor, and manage junior technologists as the team grows.
- Collaborate closely with medical physicists, radiation oncologists, and cross-functional teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in nuclear medicine technology.
- Certified NMTCB or ARRT(NM) , with demonstrated expertise in both diagnostic imaging (PET/CT) and radiotherapeutic isotope administration .
- Comfort with high-energy radioactivity (PET and therapeutic isotopes).
- Compliance-driven mindset, with strong experience in SOPs, QC, and regulatory documentation.
- Ability to work independently and also lead and mentor others.
- Excellent patient interaction skills with a balance of technical and interpersonal strengths.
