What does this role look like?
As the Mission Strategy and Advanced Capabilities (MSAC) Capture Director in the Space Security and PNT organization you will lead New Business Capture across the DOD customer mission space. Working within Lockheed Martin Space, this position will report to the Space Security MSAC Vice President. Position will also require integrated capture plans, strategies across the SS/PNT MSAC directors with report-outs to MSAC SS/PNT VP.
This position is aligned to the space control and protection Line of Business (LOB) and supports the space security and intelligence VP. This role synthesizes and shapes space security solutions by working closely with and across the portfolios.
In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the CRAD capture and capture strategy development for space control/security missions, products, solutions, technologies, and new business sales pipelines, for example Golden Dome for America, etc.
- Have accountability to shape and win new business (including re-compete and task order expansions) through a balanced focus on customer value, the competitive environment, and the corporations best interests.
- Coordinate closely with the key stakeholders for technology development through Government CRAD and LM IRAD to position LM for best value short term and long term mission focused solutions.
- Develop capture strategy including business solution for pursuits; identify potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming suppliers, and prices-to-win; manage bid and proposal activities.
- Have responsibility to lead and integrate the assigned cross-functional team and authority to direct team activities for the duration of the pursuit.
- Maintain ongoing interaction with business development.
- Be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.
