Responsibilities In this role you will lead mobile messaging marketing channels and operations. Channels include mobile messaging on Sephora properties, including app push and SMS, and ideating the next phase of mobile messaging to ensure a seamless client experience and to meet primary KPIs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Retention Marketing, you will work closely with internal and external partners delivering results that are highly visible and critical to revenue & traffic for Sephora. You’ll be part of a high-performing Digital Marketing center of excellence, partnering with teammates who own email programs and other digital marketing channels.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop the strategy & vision for mobile messaging, prioritizing initiatives for the team across all channels and innovating on new channels and experiences
Drive mobile messaging performance including lead forecasting and planning to meet comps and sales goals
Lead and develop a team of ~7 employees with a focus on coaching, developing & retaining high performing talent
Lead Mobile Messaging Team to: Ensure overall calendar planning hits Sephora revenue goals while balancing client touchpoints
Ensure Product | Tech requests are properly prioritized
Ensure client journey work strategies are actionable
Ensure testing opportunities are prioritized and executed
Closely partner with Marketing Effectiveness to define and prioritize analytical project roadmap in support of growth and health of Mobile Messaging channels
Interpret campaign, channel, and client data to inform planning and personalization strategies
Build strong cross functional relationships with key business partners to socialize channel strategy, priorities, and goals
Execute on strategic plan to pilot new channels and scale successful channels, partnering with Product Management, IT, and vendors
Work with cross-functional teams to grow file size and health (e.g., SMS opt-ins, SMS fraud, App Push opt-ins, App Location opt-ins)
Lead end-to-end execution of mobile messaging campaigns, including setup, proofing, testing, QA, deployment, and flawless execution
Keep a strong pulse on mobile messaging and industry trends and innovation
Lead and support important initiatives such as budgeting, Operating Committee updates, and special projects
Qualifications 10+ years of digital marketing expertise, with a proven track record in mobile marketing and driving channel revenue
6+ years of deep understanding of mobile landscape, best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends
Experience managing a team
Strategic thinker with strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead through change and foster open-mindedness
Passion for data-driven decision-making to drive performance and optimize client experience
Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Experience with multi-channel engagement / mobile marketing platforms and technologies (e.g., Braze, Airship)
Experience driving operational efficiencies and ensuring flawless campaign execution
Interest in adopting new marketing technologies as they evolve
Experience developing presentations for senior executives
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheets, and Adobe Analytics
Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary range is $174,675.00 - $195,225.00. Actual base salary depends on factors including qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and other legitimate business factors. Individuals may be eligible for bonuses.
