As Best Buy Ads and our tech marketplace grows, we are looking for the best and brightest retail media and advertising professionals to join our team. As the Director of Marketplace & Growth Accounts, Best Buy Ads, you will lead a team of marketers by setting the vision and owning financial performance of marketing for Best Buy's newly launched Marketplace as well as multiple core assortment growth categories. Your team is responsible for empowering third-party sellers with the tools, insights, and strategies to advertise effectively within our retail ecosystemenhancing visibility, driving sales, and elevating brand performance through Best Buy Ads advertising channels such as sponsored products and paid search. In addition, a portion of your team is dedicated to Best Buy Ads' core "growth" advertising partners up & coming vendors who are looking to establish retail media foundational advertising efforts to help grow their business at Best Buy. You'll lead the strategy for marketplace advertising interfacing regularly with internal leadership while fostering relationships with top vendors and advertising partners. You will manage people and ensure career development is top of mind, while simultaneously overseeing annual financial goals. This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at our Best Buy Corporate Campus in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of 8+ professional marketers
- Lead and manage large, strategic partner relationships
- Develop and deliver a clear strategy for business growth
- Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and expense to your leader on a timely basis
- Attract, recruit, train and retain exceptional talent by developing career plans with team members
Basic qualifications
- 10 years of progressive experience in Marketing/Media/Retail/Sales areas
- 5 years managing people and teams to drive successful marketing outcomes
- Deep knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology and its competitive landscape
- Excellent communication, client relationship, and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with comfort navigating campaign dashboards and vendor performance data
Preferred qualifications
- Strong understanding of retail ad ecosystems
- Proven experience working directly with third-party sellers or vendors
- Sponsored Products/Search expertise
- 7+ years of experience within a thriving retail media network team
- Master's degree in a relevant field
