KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Director of Marketing & Communications in St. Louis, Missouri.
About the Role We're seeking a strategic, creative, and hands-on Director of Marketing & Communications to lead a high-impact marketing function across both B2B and B2C channels in a dynamic, growth-stage healthcare company. This is a pivotal role responsible for defining and elevating the organization's brand, driving awareness and engagement, and translating our mission into compelling narratives that resonate across patients, partners, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and an expert executor-someone who can set vision and build systems, while also rolling up their sleeves to deliver high-performing campaigns. This individual will lead a multidisciplinary team while closely partnering with sales, product, operations, and clinical leadership to ensure marketing is embedded throughout the customer and patient journey.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Team Development • Build and execute an integrated marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the company's long-term growth and brand goals. • Lead a team across brand, content, digital marketing, growth, and communications-providing mentorship, structure, and accountability. • Define and own KPIs across the full marketing funnel, including brand awareness, engagement, acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on brand positioning, go-to-market strategies, and partner communications.
B2B Marketing & Partner Engagement • Develop and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns tailored to employer groups, benefit brokers, TPAs, and health plan partners. • Craft clear and compelling messaging, positioning, and assets that communicate the business value of the company's services and technology. • Produce sales enablement tools such as case studies, pitch decks, brochures, email sequences, and lead-nurture materials. • Collaborate closely with the sales and growth teams to ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and revenue goals. • Analyze market feedback and performance data to continuously optimize campaign relevance and conversion impact.
B2C Marketing & Patient Experience • Create multi-channel patient engagement strategies to drive awareness, enrollment, and ongoing use of digital and clinical services. • Tailor messaging across diverse patient populations using digital, mobile, and traditional channels (email, SMS, social, print, etc.). • Partner with clinical operations and customer experience teams to develop behaviorally informed messaging and educational content. • Design lifecycle marketing touchpoints that guide patients from onboarding and appointment scheduling to long-term virtual and in-person engagement. • Measure and iterate campaigns based on patient outcomes, participation data, and qualitative feedback.
Brand, Content, and Communications • Own the company's visual and verbal identity across all touchpoints-including website, social media, marketing collateral, and internal messaging. • Lead the development of high-quality content across formats: blogs, newsletters, video scripts, one-pagers, social assets, and patient materials. • Serve as editor-in-chief for internal and external messaging, ensuring a consistent and inspiring brand voice across audiences. • Support executive team in investor communications and corporate announcements, including pitch materials and milestone updates. • Oversee internal communication initiatives in partnership with HR/People teams to foster a unified and informed employee culture.
Media Relations & Public Presence • Establish and lead a proactive PR strategy to raise visibility and credibility within the digital health, technology, and benefits space. • Secure earned media, thought leadership, podcast interviews, and speaking engagements for company executives. • Manage agency relationships, press releases, and media training as needed to support public-facing activities.
Marketing Operations & Analytics • Set up and manage analytics frameworks to track marketing performance, lead conversion, CAC, and campaign ROI. • Leverage tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRM/automation platforms for lead scoring, attribution modeling, and performance reporting. • Conduct market research and customer development efforts to inform persona development, positioning, and product strategy. • Align insights with product, sales, and clinical teams to guide roadmap planning and cross-functional resource allocation.
Qualifications • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles, ideally in high-growth healthcare, SaaS, or hybrid B2B/B2C environments. • Proven experience marketing to employers, benefit consultants, payers, and other healthcare decision-makers. • Demonstrated ability to lead campaigns that reach and engage patient populations across digital and physical care channels. • Exceptional storytelling and content development skills-comfortable producing copy, shaping narratives, and guiding creative direction. • Hands-on experience with marketing operations tools such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce. • Strong team leadership skills with experience building and scaling multi-functional marketing teams. • Deep understanding of healthcare dynamics, especially employer-sponsored benefits, payers, and digital health trends.
Why This Role? This is a rare opportunity to shape how a modern healthcare organization connects with the world. You'll be a key voice in telling the company's story, defining its impact, and building a marketing engine that drives both patient outcomes and business growth. If you're energized by the chance to lead with creativity, strategy, and purpose-this is your seat at the table.
