SUMMARY: The Director, Market Expansion will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing go-to-market strategies across adjacencies and new market segments. In this role, the Director, Market Expansion will leverage data-driven analysis to expand into new industries, geographies, and customer segments to align with corporate objectives. As part of the Sales and Business Development team, this role will work cross-functionally to enhance the innovation of the organization.

EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred. A combination of post high school education and equivalent work experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic growth, market expansion, corporate development, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully entering new markets and/or developing frameworks to capitalize on growth opportunities. Experience in cross-functional and matrixed environments is essential, as is exposure to global or multi-regional markets. Familiarity with infrastructure-related industries such as logistics, energy, transportation, or port development is a plus.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills in Excel for financial modeling and data analysis. Highly skilled in PowerPoint (or similar presentation software) to develop compelling business cases, executive-level presentations, and go-to-market strategies. Skilled with collaboration and productivity tools such as Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint to support cross-functional execution. Familiarity with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), market intelligence tools (e.g., BloombergNEF, PitchBook), and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is preferred.

They thrive in ambiguity, consistently driving clarity and progress even in unstructured environments. Strong analytical and financial acumen is essential, along with the ability to evaluate complex opportunities and support data-driven decision-making. The candidate must possess excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across functions and organizational levels. Cultural awareness and adaptability are also important, particularly in navigating diverse markets and teams. A passion for innovation, growth, and delivering measurable business outcomes is key to success in this role.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts a single business unit/segment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
