Position Summary: This position will work closely with Executive Director, Major Gifts, the Director, Major Gifts will play a leadership role in building a robust pipeline and implementing innovative strategies that focus on securing major/planned gifts for SMC. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: The Major Gifts Director is part of an experienced and mission-driven Foundation team, and is primarily responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation and solicitation of major gifts ($10K+) to benefit Saddleback Medical Center. Working closely with Executive Director, Major Gifts, the Director, Major Gifts will play a leadership role in building a robust pipeline and implementing innovative strategies that focus on securing major/planned gifts for SMC. This energetic fundraiser will have a proven track record and knowledge base in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, closing and stewarding major gift donors. Additional responsibilities include engaging physicians, volunteers, grateful patients and key community stakeholders as referral sources and cultivation partners. Working alongside SMCF leadership, the Director, Major Gifts will also act as an ambassador to enhance and promote SMCs culture of donor-centered philanthropy, and to identify meaningful giving and recognition opportunities to benefit the organization and donor wishes. Pay Range: $125,548.80 - $188,323.20 Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
