The Director Liquid Credit Group will manage and execute underwriting and portfolio management activities within the Liquid Credit Group. The Director will directly engage in the evaluation, underwriting and monitoring of individual assets, while supervising junior staff in the same capacities. Ensuring that (new issue) underwriting activities are addressed in a time sensitive manner and will divide/delegate responsibility of portfolio assets (while assuming direct responsibility for select names). Assist Group Head with active/proactive monitoring of market and industry developments to promote portfolio optimization. Oversee effective execution of settlements/middle office activity and assist with internal reporting. Position is to be NYC-based (flexibility possible). Responsibilities: Direct engagement in portfolio management activities with an emphasis on underwriting and asset monitoring. Manage junior staff to ensure that underwriting, due diligence and monitoring process are executed with the utmost accuracy, efficacy and timeliness. Review and management of loan documentation. Oversight of all (internal) credit documentation and financial modeling, including original underwriting(s) and reviews. Assist with evaluation of market, macroeconomic and fundamental industry trends to ensure portfolio optimization within applicable relative value framework. Manage aspects of junior staff team mentoring and engagement. Manage/oversee effective execution of settlements workflows and support internal reporting requirements Education, Skills & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent. 7-10 years cash flow underwriting experience (preference for leveraged finance and broadly syndicated market experience). Proven/established ability to multi-task and manage extremely dynamic processes in a timely manner Superior written and verbal communication skills.
