Pay Range: $57.36 - $85.47 per hour Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush's anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Job Summary:
This position supports the mission and vision of Rush University by providing leadership, technical expertise, and support in developing and maintaining the institutional research program of the university. Performs all necessary functions related to the collection, interpretation, and use of institutional data for planning, assessment, and decision making. Directs, manages, and oversees the workflow and priorities of the IR team which includes monitoring of key institutional indicators, ensuring the integrity of data/information released in reports or studies, and providing data analysis, reporting, or research as needed to support institutional objectives. This position involves collaborating with academic and administrative units to identify information needs, enhance data literacy, and support strategic planning through evidence-based decision making. Required Job Qualifications:
Master's degree in statistics, analytics, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in research, data analysis, and reporting. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel). Strong statistical and analytical skills. Experience managing IR or data analytics staff (minimum 2 years). Knowledge of higher education accreditation and reporting requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Preferred Job Qualifications: Doctorate degree in social sciences Terminal degree in statistics, information science, business administration, social sciences or related discipline or in one of the quantitative disciplines from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague system. Experience in the accreditation process. Strong background in institutional reporting. Job Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate institutional research activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. Design methodologies to assess academic programs, student outcomes, and operational performance. Present data trends and insights to senior leadership and university committees. Represent the university in external meetings and professional organizations. Ensure accuracy and compliance in institutional data reporting (e.g., IPEDS, IBHE, HLC). Develop dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators. Conduct studies to support planning, policy, and decision-making. Oversee institutional surveys, including design, deployment, analysis, and reporting. Provide guidance on survey methodology and best practices. Provide data and analysis to support strategic planning and accreditation efforts. Align IR activities with institutional goals and performance metrics. Collaborate with D&IS and stakeholders to improve data systems and governance. Support data warehousing and integration of institutional data sources. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate IR staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
