Director, Infrastructure Capital Projects & Climate Advisory (Transportation) KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Infrastructure Capital Projects & Climate Advisory (Transportation) in Infrastructure for our Deal Advisory practice.
Responsibilities
Function as a client-facing project manager and team leader on financial, commercial, and strategic infrastructure and transportation development advisory engagements; assist practice leadership in training and mentoring team resources
Drive development of work products and be responsible for quality of deliverables to clients as well as day-to-day lead supporting senior engagement leaders (Directors, MDs, Partners) to ensure that client requests, KPMG's scope of work, and engagement workstreams are being executed efficiently; responsible for monitoring engagement economics and reporting to senior engagement leaders
Advise on strategies for optimizing public agency transportation projects or programs, forecasting capital and operating requirements, financing, and support clients in deal structuring and negotiating transactions by drafting and reviewing documentation, issue papers, and reports for external use as well as providing insights on commercial, financial, funding, planning and policy related topics associated with infrastructure and transportation development
Advise public agency clients on their transportation development strategies, including the use of public private partnerships, alternative delivery options, private financing and public funding sources, including capital market insights and financial modeling
Analyze, evaluate and advise public agency clients on their key development activities including planning, project analysis, market demand, design, construction, funding, financing, operations, and maintenance of a project or program
Lead and support the preparation of proposals to target clients, as well as driving compliance with KPMG's business acquisition and pursuit processes
Qualifications
Minimum eight years of recent experience in transportation project or program development activities including demonstrated experience in an advisory (consultant to clients) or project development (developer, contractor, lenders, investors) environment developing the following: complex large-scale transportation projects; transportation projects or programs for a public agency (for example: departments of transportation, transit agencies, turnpike authorities, state, county, or large municipality); and assessing and advising on strategic alternatives for transportation projects or programs
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field
Demonstrate an understanding of transportation market conditions and key issues
Ability to provide insights to advise clients on various transportation transaction and procurement components including critical reviews of developer proposals such as financial capacity, financial models, governance, and transaction structuring
Willingness and ability to travel
