Job Type Full-time Description POSITION SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates the development and production activities of the Information Technology Department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all PlayLV’s Company standards, policies, and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting PlayLV’s’ “Beyond the Best” Company-wide culture and always demonstrating Championship Service Standards.
Customarily and regularly directs the work of multiple direct reports performing the following functions:
Consults with casino and hotel management to determine information requirements of Management, Administration, Gaming, Hospitality, or Customer Service to determine boundaries and priorities of new projects, and to discuss systems capacity, equipment acquisitions, and overall IT strategy.
Conference with department heads involved with proposed projects to ensure cooperation and further define the nature of the project.
Consults with Business Systems Analysts, Network Operations, and Project Managers to define equipment and or software needs.
Reviews project feasibility studies
Establish work standards
Prepares progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals
Contracts with management specialists, technical personnel, or vendors to solve IT problems
Coordinates system operating schedules to introduce new program testing and operating runs
Review reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to ascertain costs and plan operating changes
Analyzes department workflow and workers’ job duties to recommend reorganization or departmental realignment within the company
Prepares proposals and solicits purchase of systems analysis, programming, and computer services from outside firms
Assists staff in diagnosing and solving systems and equipment problems
Participates in technical projects such as writing equipment specifications or developing computer programs for specified applications
Other duties as assigned
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise network operations, project management and software, desktop, and hardware support
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these areas. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performances; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Customarily and regularly directs the work of 4 or more Team Members.
Handles Team Member complaints
Performs disciplinary actions
Plans work for subordinates
Determines work schedules
Determines techniques to be used to perform the work
Appraises the productivity and efficiency of Team Members for the purpose of recommending promotions, demotions, and other changes in status
Provide for the safety and security of Team Members and property
Interviews, selects, and trains Team Members
Schedules work hours for Team Members
Other duties as assigned

Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.

Fifth year college or university program certificate; and four years related experience or 8 years equivalent experience should include, but not be limited to, the following:

Requirements EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
