POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership and hands-on management of all property technology systems across gaming, hospitality, and back-office operations. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that support business objectives, enhance guest experience, and ensure compliance with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), PCI DSS, and corporate standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
- Direct all IT operations, including infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, help desk, telecommunications, and project management.
- Develop and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with business goals, modernization efforts, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Partner with property and corporate leadership to identify technology opportunities supporting operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Lead IT budgeting, procurement, asset lifecycle, and vendor management for all hardware, software, and cloud services.
Systems & Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee administration and optimization of enterprise platforms including:
- Networking: Cisco and Fortinet firewalls, switches, SD-WAN, and secure wireless architecture.
- Servers & Virtualization: Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, VMware vSphere, and Veeam backup and replication.
- Telephony: Mitel VoIP systems, call recording, and contact center platforms.
- Cloud & Identity: Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and endpoint management.
- Storage: Pure Storage SANs and related data protection strategies.
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery readiness across all systems.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security policies and controls aligned with NGCB, PCI DSS, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Manage firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability assessments, and user access reviews under a Zero Trust framework.
- Coordinate with internal auditors, regulators, and external assessors to maintain compliance documentation and evidence.
Project & Vendor Management:
- Lead IT projects from conception through deployment, including system migrations, integrations, and property-wide upgrades.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual performance and cost optimization.
- Oversee RFP processes, technical evaluations, and vendor negotiations.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary IT team (network engineers, system administrators, support technicians, and analysts).
- Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Align departmental operations with ITIL/ITSM best practices and service delivery standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in hospitality or gaming.
- Demonstrated experience with Cisco networking, Fortinet security, Nutanix or VMware virtualization, and Microsoft cloud ecosystems.
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams, vendors, and budgets effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience with casino management systems, POS, PMS, and gaming regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with systems such as Infor/Lawson, Infinium, or similar back-office ERP solutions.
- ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
