Your Mission As Director of Inbound Audits you will contribute to this mission by fostering trust and transparency between the company and its clients. You will lead the process and response to external royalty audits, ensuring our accounting is clearly presented, questions are addressed with accuracy, and any discrepancies are resolved fairly. By combining rigorous analysis with professional communication, you will help strengthen confidence in our royalty accounting reporting practices. What You'll Be Doing Be responsible to manage the full inbound audit process and communication with the external audit firms. Be involved in every step of the royalty audit process for both songwriter and recording artist clients. Establish clear communication with the auditors and share information based on BMG’s best practices. Review incoming audit reports carefully and deduce the accuracy of the claims. Prepare and communicate BMG’s response to the audit report. Review client contracts and ensure compliance with the royalty accounting. Liaise with senior executives, legal, finance, and client representatives. Compile reports and source documents at the request of the auditors. Work closely with internal departments and foreign affiliates as needed to address audit inquires. Review and finetune internal processes and best practices for audits. Log and document audit related status, data and communication. What You Bring Previous experience in royalty accounting or royalty audit in the music business (music publishing and/or recorded music). Strong data analysis skills — able to interpret large datasets, statements, and royalty reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced excel skills. Deep knowledge of the music publishing and/or recorded music industry, including rights structures, royalty flows, and licensing agreements. Capability to design and improve audit strategies, methodologies, and internal processes. Proficiency in royalty systems, databases, and BI tools. Pay Range $90,000-96,000 per annum The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
