Overview The Director, Implementation is responsible for aligning LT’s strategic process improvement priorities with actionable plans, executing project milestones and critical action steps, and leading organizational integration. This role oversees a team of Managers and collaborates with the Managing Director, New Initiatives to ensure priority projects are executed seamlessly. By leading organizational alignment, managing resources, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration, the role ensures initiatives are implemented and transitioned into sustainable operations, from project origination to organizational integration.

Essential Responsibilities Provide guidance and oversight for project implementation, promoting cross-departmental collaboration. Establish and maintain best practices and processes for development and implementation of initiatives. Ensure overall project success, quality, staff performance, and end-user feedback. Conduct project research and analysis, understand end-user needs, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations to inform Executive and Senior leadership. Meet with stakeholders to clarify project vision, goals, and business needs. Partner with leadership to align strategic priorities and manage internal and external communications for efficient progress, implementation, and completion of projects and operations. Identify barriers before and during project implementation and provide data-driven, tailored solutions. Work with REDS, PPD, Risk, Facilities and Programs teams to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless execution. Obtain cross-functional knowledge to understand issues, trends, and perspectives affecting LT’s mission, programs, and objectives. Lead organization-wide projects, facilitate meetings, and ensure stakeholder tasks are completed on time and within budget. Incorporate feedback from leadership and stakeholders, reevaluating and adjusting plans as necessary. Maintain feedback loops and process improvement strategies for each project. Coordinate project organization, scheduling, deadlines, budget, updates, presentations, and training. Review plans and provide recommendations for direct reports to align with organizational goals and LT’s kamaliʻi needs. Prepare and maintain operational budgets and team capacities, stewarding resources. Other Duties Develop activity and performance reports and project updates on a quarterly basis and as required by leadership and Trustees. Coach direct reports and support professional growth opportunities. Support programming, events, and special projects as needed. Accept new assignments and contribute to team and organizational results. Lead and support other work as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Certifications related to project management and process improvements preferred. 10 years of managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to delivery, with resource and budget management; strong command of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies. Experience establishing project management frameworks, governance, and templates is a plus. 5 years of progressive leadership and people management experience. Experience managing diverse stakeholders and briefing executives. Strong detail-oriented writing, editing, and communication skills across complex projects. Ability to solve problems, think strategically, and turn ideas into reality. Strong cultural fit with a non-hierarchical, ego-free, flexible environment. Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Timeline, Smartsheet, and Mural for project management and reporting is desirable. Travel Requirements This position may require occasional travel across the island, inter-island, and out-of-state, depending on team and organizational needs. Physical and Other Demands Perform light physical work, including climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Exposed to outdoor climate and diverse terrain.
