Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: The Director of Special Education provides leadership and oversight for the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs and services across the district. The Director ensures compliance with federal and state regulations to provide for a full continuum of services in the least restrictive environment. The Director of Special Education promotes inclusive practices and collaborates with school and district leadership to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success of students with disabilities. The Director serves as a key advisor to the Assistant Superintendent of Special Education.
Requirements / Qualifications
Credential Copy (or Document Number listed on CTC/if enrolled in an intern program or preliminary program must provide letter from program verifying enrollment and expected completion of program (for intern program, letter must state you are intern eligible)) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 signed letters dated within 1 year of the application window; letters beyond 1 year or undated will not be accepted) Resume (current and up-to-date)

Your 3 Professional References (section after "Work Experience") must consist of at least (1) from a current supervisor*. Reference Checks will be conducted as part of the advanced stages of the interview process.
*Internal candidates: if your current supervisor is the hiring manager (Becky Bryant) you must provide a professional reference from an alternate superior (Current or former). You may not list the hiring manager as a professional reference.
