As Director, HCP Marketing HIV , you will play a pivotal role in driving continued market leadership for a brand that has set the standard in its category and continues to do so over seven years post-launch. This role is focused on enhancing executional excellence, optimizing promotional effectiveness, and deepening engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to ensure our product remains the preferred choice in HIV treatment.
Responsibilities Include: Support development of HCP personal promotion strategy and executional plan for our product in the U.S., ensuring alignment with brand objectives and evolving market dynamics.
Lead development of materials for HCP personal promotion, including call flows, objection handling, and sales tools tailored to a mature brand
Drive strategic planning and execution for HCP engagement across POA cycles, ensuring consistency and excellence in field execution.
Develop marketing solutions to a wide range of complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensure solutions are compliant and consistent with organization objectives.
Lead market research projects in close collaboration with cross-functional partners.
Adapt and evolve global assets to meet U.S. HCP needs, including messaging and campaign refinement.
Develop and refresh HCP promotional campaigns , ensuring relevance and resonance with HCPs.
Generate and synthesize insights from multiple data sources to inform strategic decisions and optimize promotional impact.
Define and track marketing KPIs , using data to drive continuous improvement and performance optimization.
Contribute to HIV portfolio strategy , providing insights and recommendations on go-to-market approaches and cross-brand synergies.
Manage agency relationships and budgets , ensuring high-quality output and fiscal discipline.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, CL&D, II&D, Global Marketing, and Sales Leadership to ensure coordinated execution.
Collaborate with Global Partners to adapt and evolve assets and strategy to US HCP needs
Evaluate and evolve marketing systems and processes to support operational excellence and scalability.
Deliver compelling presentations to internal stakeholders and external audiences, translating strategy into action.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and Twelve Years’ Experience
OR
Master’s Degree and Ten Years’ Experience
OR
PhD and Eight Years’ Experience
Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, ideally with mature brands.
Field Sales and/or personal promotion experience preferred.
Proven success in lifecycle management and sustaining market leadership.
Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred.
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on HCP marketing.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
Experience in HIV or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred.
Expertise in digital and e-Marketing tactics, including metrics and optimization.
Experience with advocacy, health systems, and community engagement is a plus.

The salary range for this position is: $226,185.00 - $292,710.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
