Position Summary
The Director of Fleet and Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the company's fleet operations and supply chain activities. This role ensures the seamless integration of fleet management and supply chain processes to support the organization's operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Management
Oversee Fleet Operations: Manage the entire fleet, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
Develop Strategies: Implement strategies to enhance fleet productivity and cost- effectiveness.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and transportation regulations.
Maintenance Management: Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the fleet operations budget.
Vendor Relations: Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts for fleet purchases and services
Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Oversight: Oversee sourcing, contract negotiations, procurement, transportation, and storage of all materials
Policy Development: Develop policies and procedures to monitor and manage supply chain activities.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
Strategic Planning: Provide input to strategic decisions affecting the supply chain.
Supplier Relations: Maintain constant contact with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and Services.
Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Fleet and Supply Chain analysts and specialists.
Foster a culture of excellence, responsiveness, and continuous learning within the team.
Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide regular feedback to team members.
Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention for the Fleet and Supply Chain team
Manage resource allocation and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage for all supported activities, including off site assignments if applicable.
Incident & Problem Management
Establish and mature robust incident management processes, ensuring timely identification, diagnosis, and resolution of Fleet and Supply Chain issues.
Oversee the escalation matrix for critical incidents, ensuring appropriate communication and engagement of stakeholders.
Implement and manage problem management processes to identify root causes of recurring incidents and prevent future occurrences.
Ensure proper documentation of incidents, problems, and resolutions in a knowledge base.
Service Delivery & Optimization
Oversee the fulfillment of service requests related to Fleet and Supply Chain, ensuring efficiency and user satisfaction.
Manage requests in collaboration with business units and operations teams, ensuring smooth transitions/fulfillment and minimal business disruption.
Monitor department performance, availability, and resource utilization, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks or issues.
Work with business units to ensure understanding of current and future needs.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Experience
10+ years of progressive leadership/management experience, preferably to include leading supply chain and/or fleet management teams.
A combination of related education and relevant leadership/management experience will be considered.
Proven experience leading and managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
Soft Skills
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey issues to various business units and seek win-win solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to resolving issues.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and incidents simultaneously under pressure.
