Emerald is seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Director of Financial Systems to lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of our financial technology ecosystem. This role will oversee the management and integration of key platforms including Oracle Hyperion, Epicor ERP, Zuora (billing and revenue recognition), and industry-specific billing systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a collaborative mindset to align financial systems with business goals in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.

This position will be based out of our San Juan Capistrano, CA office. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership Define and execute the roadmap for financial systems in alignment with corporate objectives Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors for financial systems strategy and execution System Ownership & Management Oversee the administration, configuration, and performance of: Oracle Hyperion for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting Epicor ERP for core financials and operational reporting Zuora for subscription billing and revenue recognition Industry-specific billing systems tailored to the trade show business model (e.g., A2Z, TMM) Integration & Automation Lead the design and implementation of integrations between financial systems using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and timeliness across platforms Governance & Compliance Enforce best practices for financial data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., SOX, ASC 606) Partner with internal audit, finance, and accounting teams to support regulatory, reporting, and financial close cycles Team & Vendor Management Lead a team of systems analysts, developers, and external consultants Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and cost optimization Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in financial systems and SaaS platforms Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred) 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on financial systems Proven expertise in: Oracle Hyperion (Planning, Essbase, Financial Reporting) Epicor ERP (preferably in a multi-entity environment) Zuora (including RevPro or Revenue Automation)

Experience in the trade show, events, or media industry is helpful Strong understanding of financial processes, GAAP, and revenue recognition standards Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Target Compensation: $ 160,000-180,000 (Bonus Eligible) Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position.
