The Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corporation is based in Houston, Texas. We are working on the development and design of the next generation of electrical driven warehouse products, specifically targeted at the customer demands of the North American market. All Jungheinrich trucks designed here in Houston are developed from scratch to production. While MLA manufactures and assembles the trucks, Jungheinrich owns the design and is therefore also responsible for any production changes and custom modifications. Working with Jungheinrich is not just a job it means working in an international team of professionals and experts with interesting and challenging tasks.
Role & Responsibilities
Commercial Management for Jungheinrich's business in the NA region
Disciplinary reporting to President Jungheinrich North America / Vice President Industrial Trucks & Service North America
Functional Reporting to global VP Finance & Controlling Industrial Trucks & Services (who reports to Jungheinrich's CFO)
Entrepreneurial, organizational, and conceptual role with a wide field of action and creative scope, requiring strong commitment, initiative, and broad expertise
Management and development of the commercial organization within the NA region, currently with ca. 300 employees in 3 entities
Responsibility for all Business administration and Finance activities within the region and its countries and legal entities including memberships on management boards/ steering committees
Set-up and continuous improvement of related processes and organizations
Ensuring financial transparency and integrity, target achievement and risk management
A local and global team player who works effectively with international teams
Tasks And Requirements
Commercial Management for Jungheinrich 's business in the NA region
Acts as Finance Head in the NA region with responsibility for the NA Holding, all entities & JV´s and serves as a strong partner to the business in the commercial aspects of strategy implementation and managing the growing business
Manages all relevant interfaces between the NA entities to Headquarters (Controlling, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Services (FDL), IT, Procurement, Real Estate, M&A, Distributor financing, ...) to ensure smooth operations and business in the best possible manner
Responsibility for aligning and implementing the group's operational and strategic finance and controlling interests from HQ into the NA operations
Management of the commercial aspects of Jungheinrich's partnership with distributor Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas (MLA)
Steering and management of commercial aspects in the sales and order management process
Ensuring financial transparency and integrity, target achievement and risk management
Set-up and continuous improvement of related processes and organizations
Active support to the Managing Director and other entity Finance Director of the NA region in steering the business in the region, including provision of relevant information, consulting, and ad hoc analysis (in close alignment with Corporate Controlling)
Trusted sparrings partner to the NA management team in commercial and strategic matters
Commercial partnering to Shared Service Centers in the region
Trusted and close cooperation / alignment with Corporate Controlling and all relevant corporate finance and administrative departments
Actively shaping the organizational setup as well as the strategic development of the employees to ensure the right skillset for future requirements, including in context of Jungheinrich's future growth and transformation in the region
The ideal candidate
Master's degree in business administration (or similar)
Experience in similar roles (e.g. regional CFO, company Finance Director, Business Controlling, Commercial Sales), ideally within the mechanical engineering industry and / or a direct and distribution sales setup. Experience in auditing or consulting would be a plus
Vast leadership experience, ideally in a listed company
Experience in being part of management boards/ steering committees would be a plus
Broad commercial knowledge, strong analytical skills, structured and entrepreneurial thinking and a proactive and pragmatic way of working
Operational experience, ideally leading an operational unit and/or legal entity
Track record in successful transformation and implementation of process improvements
Experience in commercial assessment and implementation of M&A transactions and integration
International background and experience in navigating different cultures, ideally in the NA region
High focus on quality and stakeholder orientation, open attitude and will to create combined with assertiveness and courage to drive change and continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills across all management levels
Ability to take a stand for the commercial point of view in discussions with top management, even facing push-back, and change management capabilities
Acting both as internal service provider and steward, as well as strategist and visionary for the future direction of Jungheinrich's NA business, willing to take responsibility
Ability to motivate the team for joint targets while ensuring accountability and taking action if required.
Fluent in English, high level of intercultural awareness

Enhancement and bundling of commercial steering processes across NA in close alignment with Corporate Controlling
Implementation of relevant infrastructure in the IT systems, driving and supporting DEEP (Digital End to End Processes)-projects in the region
The role needs to be accepted by both the NA entities and relevant corporate finance and administration stakeholders in HQ as interlink between region and HQ
Change
Driving enhancement of setup in area of responsibility while maintaining focus and the right priority
Driving transformation and change for Jungheinrich in NA Strategy 2030
Key Skills And Experiences Required For The Role
Both strategic and operational; focus on strategic perspective and creative drive
Reporting in a listed company (important) and international experience (ideally NA)
Proven track record in setting up / changing an organization (change management), experience in setting up new processes and digitalization
Broad experience, ideally from several (ideally manufacturing) companies. Experience in auditing and/or consulting would be a plus
Experience as a sparrings partner to senior management
Broad commercial knowledge
Experience in commercial assessment and implementation of M&A transactions / integrations
Strong planning and execution capabilities
Communication skills and empathy (including understanding Jungheinrich's company culture and setup)
Ability to create and leverage networks
Leadership skills, creating both motivation and accountability
