Director, Emerging Technologies Engineering & AI Solutions Hybrid work opportunity. KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Emerging Technologies Engineering & AI Solutions to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead the engineering efforts in the field of AI, including developing platforms, algorithms, models, and techniques for analyzing and interpreting enterprise data.
Unite with external partners and stakeholders to identify new opportunities for innovation and research in the field of Gen AI; stay up to date with the latest research and trends in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation.
Work with a team of engineers and developers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of engineering efforts.
Cooperate with cross-functional teams to develop proof of concept (POC) projects and prototypes that demonstrate the potential of AI; collaborate with other technology groups, including architects, engineering teams, and designers, to act as a thought leader for AI and next generation technology direction.
Collaborate with business enablement teams to understand operational needs and strategic goals; align initiatives with business objectives, ensuring that technology solutions enhance operational processes; facilitate communication between the engineering team and business units; advocate for adoption, educate stakeholders on its benefits, and address concerns around the technology.
Establish guidelines for responsible AI usage; ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards; monitor performance, address biases, and maintain transparency in AI-enabled processes.
Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum ten years of recent experience in technology, including background in solution architecture, application development, and cloud technologies; minimum two years of recent experience in artificial intelligence.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing a team of developers, onshore and offshore.
Ability to understand long-term and short-term perspectives of situations and apply multiple AI solutions to business problems.
Experience in developing POC projects and prototypes; ability to quickly understand the functions and capabilities of new Gen AI technologies.
Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead a customer-service and teamwork-driven environment; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners; capable of setting goals and participating in strategic initiatives for a team; able to influence organizational priorities.
