Description
At MoneyGram, we connect the world by making cross-border money transfers seamless, affordable, and secure for everyone. We are seeking a Director of Embedded Remittances to spearhead our B2B2C remittance business line, driving sales and strategic partnerships. This senior role owns the P&L for the embedded remittance product and leads a high-performance team to achieve aggressive growth targets. The role is based in the United States and focuses on two key growth areas: (a) integrating our remittance API with U.S. banks and consumer fintech companies to expand their product offerings and (b) bringing global payout/disbursement partners into the U.S. market via our white-label solution. The ideal candidate has deep experience in embedded finance sales, a track record of exceeding quotas, and the entrepreneurial drive to build a new revenue stream from the ground up.If you are a dynamic leader with a passion for fintech innovation and cross-border payments, we invite you to join us in transforming the remittance landscape. What you will get to do
· P&L Ownership and Revenue Growth : Take accountability for the revenue and profitability of the embedded remittance business. Set quarterly and annual sales targets, and then consistently meet or exceed those quotas through effective execution.
· Go from 1-> 100: Develop and execute a strategic go-to-market plan to rapidly expand our embedded remittance partnerships.
· Own the full sales cycle and partner lifecycle: This includes preparing tailored proposals, negotiating optimal commercial terms and service agreements, and closing deals that achieve win-win outcomes. Identify high-potential partner opportunities and build a robust sales pipeline of banks, fintechs, and money transfer operators for both our white-label and API solutions
· Ensure growth post-signing : oversee smooth integration of our technology into partners’ environments (with support from technical teams) and manage the ongoing relationship to drive ramp-up. Regularly meet with partners’ executives to review performance, explore upsell opportunities, and deepen the partnership.
· Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and expand a small team of sales and partnership managers (initially 2–3 people). Foster a high-performance culture with clear goals and incentives. Act as a “player-coach”, guiding the team’s efforts while personally handling strategic deals. Develop your team’s skills in consultative selling, pipeline management, and partner success. As a natural leader, define a clear plan for the team, adapt quickly to market feedback, and build out the function as the business scales.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams to ensure our remittance solution meets partner needs and is successfully delivered. Team up with Product and Engineering to prioritize features or customizations required by big partners; with Compliance and Legal to navigate regulatory requirements; and with Operations/Customer Support to guarantee excellent service for end-users.
· Market Strategy & Product Input : Stay on top of industry trends in fintech, payments, and global remittances. Track competitor offerings and evolving customer expectations in cross-border transfers. Leverage this market insight to inform our strategy – e.g. suggesting product enhancements, new corridors or payout methods, pricing adjustments, and marketing initiatives
·Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the company as a remittance-domain expert and evangelist for our platform. Attend and speak at industry conferences, fintech events, and partner meetings to build awareness and credibility. Develop thought leadership (webinars, whitepapers) around embedded finance and remittance-as-a-service to strengthen our brand. Networking in the fintech and banking community is integral to uncovering new partnership opportunities and keeping a pulse on the market.
