Amperesand is building a global company and looking for talent across our geographies.ResponsibilitiesLead a team through all stages of electronics and electrical system design including architecture, requirements definition, board design, reliability, compliance, and production ramp.Provide technical leadership for the team and review schematics and layoutsCreate design checklists and ensure high quality PCBAs with minimal board revisionsBring a systematic approach to board bring up, failure analysis, and demonstrating reliabilityCollaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, test, and compliance leads to design top-quality hardwareOwn the BOM and drive cost-down design while ensuring supply chain resilienceRun DFMEA to achieve compliant designsConduct abuse testing for ensuring safe designs that can handle worst case system faultsQualificationsTechnical degree or equivalent industry experience in electronics engineering8+ years of experience in power converter design and strong electrical engineering fundamentalsExpertise in designing boards using Altium or CadenceShipped multiple PCBAs in high volume products3+ years of experience managing a power electronics design teamStrong understanding of power electronics, EMI/EMC, and MV insulationDesigned complex systems with multiple isolation domains and voltage railsExperience with grid-connected power systems, including grid-forming or grid-following inverter controls and related compliance standardsExcellent written and verbal communications in EnglishWillingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationallyPI58b85811162a-29952-38180464
