We’re actively seeking a talented Director of Distribution Partner Integrations (DPI) working in our Newport Beach, CA office to lead the Consumer Markets Division (CMD) in delivering technology that enables a seamless, end-to-end digital customer experience for CMD’s distribution partners. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Aligned with business strategic goals, this leader partners with business and IT leaders across CMD to implement and maintain solutions that maximize value, e.g., sales growth, customer experience, operational efficiency, etc. The Director will serve as the primary contact for CMD and PL Technology leaders for DPI-related technology and industry standards.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Strategic Leadership
Establish and maintain a business-aligned strategy and technical roadmap for DPI’s portfolio of solutions and platforms. Manage some platforms directly and collaborate with other teams for others. Drive agility through modern architecture, Agile principles, and strong vendor management.
Technology / Solution Delivery
Lead cross-functional teams in delivering technology solutions related to distribution partner integrations and enabling Annuity products on key platforms such as annuity order entry systems, sales enablement, contract support, DTCC, DST Fanmail/Vision, and data integrations. Foster digital-first initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and sales processes. Serve on industry groups (e.g., IRI, DTCC) and build vendor relationships.
Department Leadership & Management
Oversee team performance, growth, and development. Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and internal partnerships with departments like Strategic Accounts and Operations. Prioritize and manage capacity across technology teams.
The experience you bring:
10+ years leading IT delivery teams with increasing responsibility
Industry-specific experience (Annuity / life insurance products)
Experience managing platforms like Life eApp, Annuity order entry, Sales Enablement platforms, DTCC, DST Fanmail/Vision
Strategic technology roadmap development aligned with business outcomes
Ability to balance multiple demands and operate influence across hierarchies
BS or higher education

Experience with Life eApp and Annuity order entry systems (eBix, Zinnia, Hexure, iPipeline, Porch)
Experience with DTCC and DST platforms
Experience integrating Sales Enablement platforms (FIDx, Black Diamond, etc.)
Participation in industry groups (IRI, DTCC)

As a Sr Java Back-End Developer in our Workforce Benefits Division, you will build and optimize our core insurance platform. With over six years of Java experience, you will ensure performance, security, and integration of back-end systems, collaborating with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders. You’ll mentor junior developers and promote technical excellence. Location options include Newport Beach, CA, or Omaha, NE, with possible relocation assistance.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Design, develop, and optimize Java-based back-end services within our insurance platform.
Collaborate across teams for system integration.
Develop microservices and RESTful APIs for secure, efficient integrations.
Monitor and improve system performance and scalability.
Lead troubleshooting and continuous process improvements.
The experience you bring:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
6+ years in Java back-end development, with API and RESTful services expertise
Proficiency in Git, Docker Compose, Spring Boot, Liquibase, Maven
Knowledge of SDLC, SQL, NoSQL; experience with Rule Engine is a plus

Base Pay Range:
The posted range is a good faith estimate; actual pay depends on experience, location, and qualifications. Most employees are eligible for additional incentives.
$180,180.00 - $220,220.00
