Join KPMG’s advisory practice as Director, Digital Trust & Safety. In a fast-growing practice, we look for a leader to shape the digital safety service offering and drive growth of the Digital Safety practice.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: develop and implement cybersecurity strategies that align with business objectives and risk profiles, while guiding the growth of KPMG’s cybersecurity practice by setting goals and defining the direction for the Digital Safety service offering.
Client Engagement and Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring a high standard of service delivery, understanding client needs to tailor digital safety solutions, and advising on governance, policies, and procedures to enhance regulatory compliance.
Project Oversight and Delivery: Oversee the management of digital safety projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations, while implementing effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and promote professional development by training team members in the latest digital safety technologies and methodologies.
Thought Leadership and Innovation: Stay updated on emerging digital threats and best practices, sharing valuable insights with clients and the KPMG team, and contribute to thought leadership by engaging in industry forums and producing relevant content.
Collaboration and Cross‑Functional Support: Collaborate with KPMG’s other solutions, such as audit, tax, and advisory, to integrate services into broader solutions, and work with global teams to leverage KPMG’s international expertise in cybersecurity and digital safety.
Qualifications
Ten years of experience in trust and safety, compliance, risk management, emerging technologies, or a related field within a digital environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Law, International Affairs, or a related field.
Proven leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years managing large teams in digital safety.
Experience handling critical and sensitive incidents involving online abuse, security threats, and content moderation.
Deep understanding of digital platforms, online community dynamics, and risks associated with emerging technologies and user‑generated content.
Expertise in global regulatory frameworks, privacy laws, and compliance requirements related to digital trust and safety.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.

California Salary Range: $153,700 – $319,000.
