Position Summary As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated team as a Director, Data Science – Forecasting and Pricing Analytics. This role reports to the SVP, Analytics & Reporting and is responsible for leading a team of data scientists and analysts focused on developing advanced forecasting models, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization solutions across our brands and for TAG as a whole. This role is responsible for building and scaling analytical frameworks that improve forecast accuracy, optimize pricing and promotions, and drive measurable business impact. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in machine learning, econometrics, and experimental design with proven leadership skills and the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and reports. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions. Develop and implement comprehensive data analytics strategies aligned with business goals. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists and pricing analysts. Define the vision and roadmap for forecasting and pricing analytics, aligning with corporate strategy. Partner with finance, commercial, product, and strategy leaders to ensure analytics drive business impact.
Forecasting & Predictive Analytics Develop advanced forecasting models to predict demand, revenue, and market trends. Implement time series, machine learning, and causal inference methods to improve forecast accuracy. Continuously refine models to adapt to changing business conditions and external market factors.
Pricing, Promotions & Experimentation Design and execute A/B tests and multivariate experiments to measure the impact of pricing changes and promotional strategies. Develop frameworks to identify lookalike offices, markets, or customer groups to serve as pilot and control cohorts for pricing and promotional experiments. Partner with commercial and marketing teams to design, test, and scale discounting, bundling, and promotional tactics grounded in data. Build elasticity models and scenario simulations to forecast revenue, margin, and adoption under different pricing and promotional strategies.
Analytics & Decision Support Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior executives. Establish performance metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor forecast accuracy, test results, and pricing effectiveness. Drive adoption of analytics across the organization by embedding tools and insights into business workflows.
Qualifications Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or related field (MBA with strong analytics background considered). 10+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or pricing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in forecasting, econometrics, machine learning, and A/B testing. Strong business acumen in pricing, revenue management, or financial planning. Proficiency in Python, SQL, BigQuery, Tableau or PowerBI, and modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, GCP, Azure). Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven insights. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
