We are looking to add a Director, Corporate Compliance Counsel based in Austin, TX or San Jose, CA . Reporting to the VP, Global Compliance , this role is a key contributor to the global compliance team, supporting Flex’s Americas operations and leading ethics investigations in the region. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with regional legal and business partners to provide compliance guidance companywide, including to Flex’s executive leadership.
What a typical day looks like:
Contributing to the global compliance team in developing programs, training, and communications with senior executives.
Managing investigations of violations of Flex’s code of conduct and policies.
Owning investigation findings and reports.
Communicating results to senior executives and advising on disciplinary actions and remediation.
Partnering with HR resources to achieve compliance goals.
Maintaining expertise in regulatory compliance to mitigate risk.
Implementing the global compliance program regionally and globally, including policy development, training, and communication.
Managing the global anti-corruption and anti-bribery programs, including due diligence and gift systems.
Advising company leadership on legal and risk issues and proposing strategies.
Developing and executing responses to audits, subpoenas, and investigations.
Managing internal client relationships and stakeholder interests.
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited institution, with bar certification or ability to obtain in-house license.
At least 10 years post-qualification experience.
Expertise in investigations and compliance, with experience in anti-corruption laws.
Ability to interact with senior management.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, with strong legal issue management skills.
Fluent in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.
Willingness to travel.
