The Director of Compensation & Benefits leads the team responsible for Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, People Planning & HR budgeting and controlling. This person ensures that all compensation and benefits programs are competitive, sustainable, scalable & have an impact on the long & short-term performance of the Company. This person is also responsible for establishing & effectively communicating HR policy & procedures.

Job responsibilities Manage and develop C&B Team including Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll Manager, Compensation & Benefits Specialist and VIE
Design compensation & benefit plans that align with the company’s business objectives and talent strategy, while ensuring the achievement of consistent and market-driven levels of compensation.
Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the compensation and benefit programs, processes and practices, and recommend revisions to ensure equitable and competitive programs.
Oversee the analysis of jobs, salaries, variable pay and other rewards in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the pay practices
Design job classification and grading structure for all jobs
Lead Internal Compensation Review in partnership with VP Human Resources Americas
Responsible for annual salary increase/merit program, annual and quarterly bonus (where applicable) calculations and promotion packages.
Collaborate with commercial teams to design, manage and model incentive programs (management, sales, and production) that link pay to performance.
Partner with Finance on reviewing budgets versus actuals on a monthly basis
Lead ongoing benefits strategy assessment, development and implementation
Collaborate with LVMH Shared Service Payroll team to ensure accurate bi-weekly payroll in the United States and Canada. Collaborate with Latam HR Director and LATAM Payroll to ensure accurate monthly and bi-monthly payroll.
Oversee commission calculations for the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Saint Barths.
Provide thought leadership on current and emerging total compensation trends and issues and react to new local and federal legislation
Provide guidance on compensation benchmark using data from Mercer
Provide adhoc C&B reports as requested by Business Partners, Central Team in Rome or LVMH
Oversee the completion of monthly, bi-annual, annual reporting for LVMH and internal departments
Identify and implement opportunities to simplify and standardize programs and processes
Benchmark and develop other local or mandatory and discretionary programs
Provide guidance and direction in developing retention plans for key talent
Manage compensation plans to meet regulatory compliance and governance/audit requirements, consulting with legal resources and staying abreast of developing legislation and its potential impact
Partner in the design of effective compensation-related communications to managers and employees within the Total Rewards framework
Monitor and analyze HR budget variances, providing detailed bridge analyses and collaborating with Finance team for forecasting.
Manage HR costs budgets and strategic plans in partnership with Finance Team, Global C&B Partners and Senior Leaders
Track headcount and FTE to ensure alignment with organizational budgets.
Maintain and optimize HRIS data across multiple platforms, leveraging systems to generate insightful HR reports.
Oversee HR Data Analytics, Reporting, and Data Integrity
Profile Bachelor degree in HR, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree preferred. Masters a plus
10-15 years compensation or finance experience; A minimum of 2 years in a management role.
Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese a plus
Experience in a global company highly desirable
Ability to serve as strategic business partner and advisor to senior executive leaders, business leaders and other key stakeholders.
Comfortable partnering with senior management, outside ERISA counsel, vendors, auditors and consultants
Complete understanding and technical expertise of broad based compensation programs and Benefit Plans
Previous compensation and/or benefit vendor management preferred
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and project management
Proven experience managing a team, providing direction, coaching opportunities, career development, and annual appraisals.
Leads with enthusiasm and positive demeanor to inspire and motivate direct reports, colleagues, department and senior management.
Ability to influence, deliver results and collaborate across functions and teams.
Strong communication, negotiation and listening skills to best ascertain needs and partner to build solutions to address them, while adhering to enterprise strategy and compliance requirements.
Willingness to be both strategic and tactical. Highly developed analytical skills – ability to define and measure plan performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
Proven project management skills to move projects forward
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to convey complex concepts.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues
