  • Lead the design and evolution of commercial data architecture
  • Establish and operationalize data governance frameworks, including data quality measurement, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and internal policies.
  • Establish standards for data mastering, taxonomy, lifecycle management, and integration across commercial systems.

Data Operations & Optimization

  • Analyze current data practices to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency.
  • Oversee ETL/ELT workflows and ensure high-quality data delivery across commercial functions.
  • Spearhead internal initiatives to leverage AI/ML for data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to automate data pipelines and DevOps workflows using AI-enhanced tools.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-based solutions to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment processes.

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop a team of data operations professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to direct reports.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support professional growth aligned with business needs.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Commercial, IT, and Analytics teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Support insight generation for field operations, targeting, segmentation, and performance tracking.

Vendor & Partner Collaboration

  • Manage relationships with external data providers and integration partners.
  • Evaluate and optimize data exchange processes and contractual alignment with business needs.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in commercial data operations or analytics within the biopharma industry.
  • Deep familiarity with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., claims, prescription, specialty pharmacy).
  • Proven experience implementing scalable master data management (MDM) frameworks to ensure consistency across HCP, HCO, patient, and account data domains.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Informatica IDMC, and data integration platforms.
  • Experience implementing AI/ML solutions for data management or DevOps is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
