Summary Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as the Director of College Access & Success.
The Director of College Access & Success reports to the Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement and Educational Access, in the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
As a position focused on increasing access, retention, and graduation rates of Boston youth, the Director of College Access & Success will be responsible for increasing the institute’s positive impact on Greater Boston youth through college access & success programming and a proven, but evolving, individualized case management support system. This position will manage the institute’s College Access and Success Team, which includes full-time staff, committed faculty, engaged students, and volunteers to support all initiatives. Their work will consist of the management, development, and documentation of initiatives that connects Boston youth to higher education opportunities, creating a pipeline for Boston youth to Wentworth. Additionally, the Director will maintain existing strategic partnerships and develop progressive partnerships across the education, nonprofit, STEM, and research industries, and represent CLP, through internal collaborations with all necessary departments, ensuring college access and success initiatives meet the needs of the institute’s strategic goals. Finally, the position will support the institute’s local recruitment and fundraising strategy to support college access and success programming and participants.

Minimum Education Required Bachelor's degree Preferred Education Minimum Work Experience Required 7-10 years in Education, Workforce Development, and/or Higher Education Preferred Work Experience 10+ years Minimum Knowledge Required Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. Uses instructions and guidelines to perform the job safety function. Periodic training will be required. Preferred Knowledge Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations.
