Director, Central Support Services will direct, control and oversee overall operation of the Facility Management functions which include Facilities Engineering involving capital improvement projects for Division properties and purchase/standardization of all furniture; Building Services and Grounds involving housekeeping/grounds maintenance of Division properties. Oversee building construction and maintenance activities such as carpentry, installation/ repair/maintenance of electrical systems/equipment, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, painting. Assist in purchasing or leasing of building sites for the Division and related activities to meet departmental goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Direct the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operation plans and outcomes for MLGW. Oversee the delivery of the organization's Facilities Maintenance operation to include Facilities Engineering, Capital Improvement projects, Furniture/Fixtures control area, 40 plus contract - outside services, Building Services and Grounds, Building Construction and Maintenance for MLGW, metric and analysis, and HR strategies. Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values. Clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility: motivate people to be commit and dedicate to achieve the organization's business goals. Define the detailed organizational structure for a business area to align with corporate principles. Define the relationship between elements of the organization and responsibilities of senior managers to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives. Perform other duties as directed.
EXPERIENCE 7 years of technical experience in facility maintenance and 2 years of management experience is required. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must complete NIMS training with one year of entering job. Must have organizational ability to plan, formulate and execute policies and program. Must be able to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels; have the mathematical ability to prepare/review financial/statistical reports, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, and leadership abilities to delegate and strive for continuous improvement. Knowledge in contract preparation/ management is a must. Physical Demands: Works in office majority of the time. Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis, and some dexterity in operating office equipment.
