JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall success of the convention business encompassing Catering, Conventions Services, Banquets and Audio Visual for and Caesars Atlantic City.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Acts as a key leadership role within the Convention Services segment of Meeting Operations Business.
Maximizes operating income by managing all department expenses and continuously looking for new revenue streams and expense savings.
Develops, implements and monitors budget, annual forecast, market and business plan, capital budget, expense control.
Tracks incremental revenue and forecast monthly groups.
Consistently reviews/measures customer service through customer contact surveys.
Drives high customer satisfaction through constant monitoring of product and service to ensure that customer expectations are being met or exceeded.
Manages customer relationships from account turnover through execution of event.
Assist the Sales Team and Sales efforts in regards to both repeat and new groups.
Responsible for site visits, customer entertainment events, planning meetings and re-booking of future events.
Ensures the Catering/Convention Services Team maximizes food and beverage sales as well as ancillary services such as audio-visual, entertainment, golf, spa and restaurants.
Drives employee satisfaction through open communication to entire team to be sure that all manager are working toward common goals and team members understand how their roles impact the entire team.
Ensures that continuous development, training and coaching practices are occurring.
Coordinates and directs the daily activities of all direct reports in operations and department administrative support staff.
Responsible for hiring, orientation, training, succession planning and job performance assessment for all direct reports.
Collaborates with Food & Beverage in designing, planning and pricing of all menus.
Works with operational and support departments to ensure that quality of product and level of service is acceptable and meeting customer needs.
Maintains established policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely handling of both the billing and distribution of gratuity of all functions, works closely with Sales Team, Accounting and Operations Teams to ensure compliance with all established procedures.
Works to streamline department operations through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.
Handles convention groups of a sensitive nature or those groups that specifically require assignment to a Director.
The operation of the Food & Beverage division in accordance with New Jersey casino regulations.
Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and make recommendations for implementation as appropriate.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Food & Beverage Operations. Diverse business experience with significant administrative responsibilities in a major corporation with multiple units. Minimum ten years Food & Beverage experience, with minimum five years in management capacity. Minimum three years resort hotel experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Thorough understanding of profit and loss statements and budgetary procedures.
Strong communication, supervisory and organizational skills.
Proven ability to direct and motivate employees.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
