Director Category Management & Strategic Sourcing Enerpac is looking for a proven Director of Category Management & Strategic Sourcing in Milwaukee, WI. Must be within driving distance to the Milwaukee area. Relocation package available. Hybrid – 4 days onsite 1 day remote .

This person will lead the Direct Material category sourcing team, developing strategies that drive incremental value by leveraging direct material spend. The role also optimizes direct spend processes and establishes governance and compliance for direct procurement activities.

Lead category management, prioritizing high spend, complex, and strategic categories to create maximum impact.

Develop and implement direct procurement policies and processes.

Support and lead RFx processes and category management as needed.

Ensure compliance with all risk, legal, and procurement requirements.

Collaborate with department leaders to secure stakeholder buy‑in for sourcing and procurement strategies.

Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop a pipeline for future projects.

Provide supplier negotiation, contract execution, and purchase requisition training for direct material spend.

Drive cross‑functional project implementation, controls, and training for direct material sourcing activities.

Analyze current spend to improve service, reduce costs, and streamline purchasing procedures.

Develop and manage supplier relationship management (SRM).

Manage and develop strategic supplier alliances to secure preferred status for Enerpac.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of procurement and category management experience in a manufacturing environment; at least 5 years leading a team.

Deep understanding of procurement category management, stakeholder management, and negotiations.

Experience managing a multi‑site manufacturing and multi‑cultural international team and supply base in low‑cost regions.

Superior negotiation skills with experience developing team members’ skills.

Strong analytical and presentation skills; ability to analyze large data sets and summarize findings for senior leadership.

Experience tracking and reporting key commodities, currency, and market trends from a historical and forecasting perspective.

Financial literacy, especially in P&L and cash‑flow modeling, scenario building, and comparative analysis.

Outstanding analytical skills using a structured approach to solve complex problems.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Experience within an Oracle‑based ERP environment.
