Director, Campus Internationalization

The Director of Campus Internationalization plays a key role in advancing the College’s mission of global awareness and engagement. This position directs international student and scholar services, monitors visa and immigration compliance and enhances cross-cultural programming on campus. Working across departments—including Admissions, Athletics, Residential Life, Student Services, and Academic Affairs—the Director ensures that Flagler College provides a welcoming, compliant, and globally enriched campus environment.
This position works under the Academic Affairs and reports to the Assistant Dean of Global Education (who serves as DSO) as appropriate.
Ensuring university-wide compliance for the College regarding the Department of Homeland Security’s immigration regulations for the F-1 student visa program as PDSO (Principal Designated School Official) and the Department of State’s regulations for the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program as RO (Responsible Officer) and maintain SEVIS records.
Advise international students and scholars on F-1 and J-1 visa requirements, work authorization, social security, driver’s licenses, and other adaptation needs.
Collaborate with other departments to interpret and implement institutional policies for international students and scholars.
Provide training for faculty and staff on immigration compliance and international student support
Provide orientation and reentry programming for international students and scholars.
Plan and implement intercultural programs and global events to foster a diverse and inclusive campus environment and support international student organizations and advise on leadership, advocacy, and engagement
Oversee the International Living Learning Community in partnership with Residential Life.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years as DSO/ARO
US Citizenship or . Permanent Residency
Specific expertise in immigration law and regulations; experience with SEVIS
Demonstrated diversity and inclusion experience, with sensitivity to cultural differences
Demonstrated experience in finance and budget
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years related working experience
Prior experience in higher education
Previous experience as PDSO or RO
Experience in living and working abroad
Second language proficiency
Extensive travel background

Ability to work closely with other departments across the College
Flexible and adaptable
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position is generally an office-based position, but periodic travel may be required.
Requires ability to move light boxes etc.
