You will join the Americas region of McLaren Racing’s Business Development team, focusing on developing new commercial partnerships that generate revenue for our Arrow McLaren IndyCar team.
Role Dimensions: Lead sales efforts for McLaren’s IndyCar team, with responsibility for new revenue targets.
Support existing IndyCar team partnership renewals and grow other McLaren Racing series partners into IndyCar.
Principal Accountabilities: Identify key categories and target brands that align with McLaren Racing’s objectives, Arrow McLaren’s needs, and the NTT IndyCar Series.
Initiate and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, events, and relationship building.
Maintain a pipeline of potential partners, including a database of decision makers in target sectors.
Manage activities like campaign planning, event attendance, partnership ideation, and sales material preparation.
Collaborate with peers, the IndyCar team, and the commercial division to ensure a transparent and collaborative sales process.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in motorsports sponsorships.
Proven ability to exceed revenue targets and engage with senior executives.
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working outside traditional office settings.
Proficiency in sales tools such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe, Cisco/WebEx.
Strong communication, proposal development, and contract negotiation skills.
Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Persistent and resilient attitude.
Relationship builder with influence and persuasion skills.
Team-oriented and growth-minded.
