Position Overview:

Within the Single-Family Data and Decisions department, we are looking for a leader with strategic vision, drive for execution, expert knowledge, and a people-oriented approach to influence a large organization.
Our Impact: Creating the Single-Family Business Glossary, the authoritative source of business metadata for all Single-Family data, fostering a common language across the division. Developing the Business Information Model (BIM), a conceptual model of Single-Family data, establishing a shared view of entities, attributes, and relationships. Driving the Data Strategy and Strategic Road Map, collaborating with IT partners to migrate data capabilities to cloud-native solutions. Leading the transition and modernization of existing data assets to a world-class cloud data platform.
Your Impact: Leading the strategic direction for business information architecture, metadata management, and data strategy functions. Owning the strategy and migration approach for modernizing the Single-Family data ecosystem using cloud-native technologies. Promoting the data strategy and roadmaps to engage organizational understanding and participation in data transformation. Providing leadership for the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) program, ensuring compliance with FHFA data management requirements. Collaborating with business and IT partners to develop information architecture, including data modeling and lineage capabilities, supporting strategic goals.
Qualifications: Experience leading data modernization efforts with cloud-native technologies. Proficient in cloud concepts like Data Lake, Data Ingestion, Data Virtualization, etc. Experience managing data strategy and business data architecture functions. Skilled in metadata management and data modeling techniques, including relational and non-relational structures. Experience implementing data management best practices in operational environments. 12+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years in management roles. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
